Last week’s typeface was developed in 1986, so we decided to travel on back to this magical year for our post this week. If you need a little music to get you in the mood check out this hip video that was topping the charts in ’86.
The Color of 1986

Pantone 808 is a totally 80′s teal that reminds us of leg warmers, Garbage Pail Kids and Pee-wee’s Playhouse (which happened to premier in 1986.) It’s the perfect color to celebrate the year that Nintendo was introduced to the US and that Maverick, Goose and Iceman flew into the scene in Top Gun.
The Typeface of 1986

Streetbrush is the official font of 1986 because it has classic 80′s flavor and reminds us of the kick-ass movie Purple Rain.
